Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) today announced its plan to conduct a series of conference for mobile developers to spend a day and interact with its engineers and product managers.
According to the search engine
giant, the Facebook Mobile DevCon 2013 will be held on Aril 18 in New
York City, May 2 in London, and May 7 in Seoul, Korea. Facebook Inc
(NASDAQ:FB) is encouraging interested mobile developers to pre-register
in the event.
The search engine giant said events
include a dinner and developers will have the opportunity to speak
one-on-one with Facebook engineers and product managers to review their app and debug any integration issues.
In addition, Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) said the participant in the event will learn the following:
- how to implement our iOS, Android and JS SDKs to drive installs and engagement
- how to best implement Facebook Login to bring trusted, cross-platform identity to your apps
- best practices for using Open Graph to share rich and engaging stories back to Facebook
- how to use Facebook to power engaging social, mobile games
- design tips and product best practices to increase user satisfaction
- the tools, libraries and techniques we at Facebook use to build our own iOS, Android and Mobile Web apps
Furthermore, the company said
participant will have the chance to meet like-minded mobile developers
and directly listen to the experiences of companies developing for
mobile including Fab.com, GetGle, and EyeEm.
James Pearce, a member of the relations team of
Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) said, “The conference will be very technical, and we
are hoping a lot of coders will be there. We will be talking about platforms
and what it means for developers who are trying to grow their mobile business
and getting their users to engage in a social context and get distribution”
He also said that it would be a great opportunity for the Facebook team to hear developers comments or experiences in developing for the company.

In a blog post, the search engine giant
wrote, “Over the last year, Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has worked hard to
improve our mobile offerings. We’ve re-written our iOS and Android apps
to be faster, we’ve re-engineered our iOS and Android SDKs to make it
easier to implement Facebook Login and we’ve launched dedicated
developer centres for iOs, Android and Mobile Web.
